Quinte West’s Planning Committee is recommending council approve the building of two model homes near Carrying Place to get a big housing development rolling.
Council had given the Young’s Cove development the green light back in 2013, but for various reasons the 299 home development never got started.
Changes have been made to the development team and it plans on moving the project forward in the near future.
The Young’s Cove land is off County Road 64, just west of the Loyalist Parkway.
Meanwhile, the Planning Committee is recommending that council give the go-ahead for Phase 2 of the Stonecrest sub-division, off Old Highway 2 in Bayside.
Phase 2 would consist of 24 single family homes.
