With the extra dry summer, Quinte West is implementing a voluntary water conservation practice.
Mayor Jim Harrison says with the rainfall falling well below normal for the past three months “we are starting to see the impact on local waterways.”
Quinte West city staff will reduce water usage by 20% in all city operations.
Lower Trent Conservation says the Level Two low water condition stretches from Quinte West to Grafton.
