Work is moving ahead to reconstruct social housing units in the North Hastings Non-Profit Housing Corporation in Bancroft, that were destroyed in a fire in the spring.
The five units were part of a 57-unit social housing complex which had also been hit by a board of directors walkout.
Hastings County executive director Steve Gatward says an operational review is almost complete.
Meanwhile, the architectural work is being undertaken and he doesn’t know yet how long it will take to complete the reconstruction work.
Gatward says the former tenants will be given the opportunity to return to the housing complex once the renovation work is complete.
