Several acres of land were damaged after a grass fire in Quinte West on Harrington Road.
Several acres of land were scorched after a fire in Quinte West Wednesday afternoon.
Quinte West fire was called around 5:00 p.m. to Harrington Road, near Platt Road, east of the Trent River, after the report of a baler fire.
Fire Chief John Whalen says they were on scene for about four hours.

Whalen says the machinery was completely destroyed, along with a large area of grass and fence line.
He says the dry conditions are making it dangerous for members to fight blazes.
