Thick black smoke billowed up into the sky Sunday afternoon in the far east end of Belleville.
Three transport trailers, minus the tractors, were up in flames at 953 Airport Parkway.
Luckily, the contents of the trailers weren’t hazardous. The trailers were reported to be filled with peanut skins.
The fire call came in at 2:30 p.m. and firefighters from Belleville, Tyendinaga Township, and Mohawk fire departments responded.
At the time of this writing, no one had been injured, although paramedics were on scene to come to the aid of any of the firefighters working on a hot afternoon.
The trailers belonged to local trucking firm LMB Transport.
