The Belleville Police Service responded to 57 calls for service between 14 July 2016 at 5:00 a.m. and 15 July 2016 2016 at 5:00 a.m.
Domestic Assault
Early this morning, city police were called to a west end apartment building in regards to a domestic dispute. Police had to force their way into the residence because the home owner was uncooperative with law enforcement. After the preliminary investigation, a 37 year old Belleville man was arrested for domestic assault and held in custody. The victim, a 37 year old Belleville woman received minor injuries. The accused will appear in court this afternoon, July 15th for a show cause hearing.
