Belleville native Alan Quine has re-signed with the New York Islanders.
The one time Belleville Bull made his NHL debut last season appearing in the Islanders club’s final two regular-season games and all 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games. The 23 year old Quine scored two goals, four assists with the Islanders, including an overtime goal in game 5 of the first-round series against the Florida Panthers. The deal is for 2 years and $1.22 million.
The Islanders selected Quine in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Draft. Last season, the third-year pro recorded 19 goals and 29 assists in 56 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. He represented the Sound Tigers in the AHL All-Star Classic.
