Provincial Police say the Ministry of Labour has been called in, after a man was hurt at a work site, in a remote wooded area in Quinte West this morning.
Emergency personnel responded to the area, south of the 401, around 8:00 a.m where a Collingwood man had been hit on the head by a tree branch.
OPP say an Ornge air ambulance was called in as a precaution, but eventually was turned away and the victim was taken by ambulance to Trenton Memorial Hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.
No other details on the man’s identity, or what led to the accident, were released.
