A local shelter is cashing in, thanks to a provincial grant.
The Three Oaks Foundation in Belleville will receive $57,000 from the Rural Realities training program.
Women will develop the skills to facilitate support groups in rural communities, to help women who are isolated.
The provincial government is investing more than $1 million in 16 projects in rural, remote and northern communities.
