A new private members bill was the main topic of a round table in Belleville Monday.
Kawartha area MPP Laurie Scott, along with member Todd Smith, held the meeting to discuss the bill called the Saving The Girl Next Door Act.
Scott tells Quinte News that girls and women are being trafficked into the sex trade at an alarming rate and the 401 corridor is a dangerous place for this.
She says the culture has to change, to make a difference.
MPP Todd Smith says people need to have outrage about this.
Kim Charlebois of the Sexual Assault Centre for Quinte and District says the johns have to be looked at in these scenarios too.
