Charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act have been laid following last year’s explosion of a home in Belleville.
In October, a home was destroyed at a construction site, where crews were performing upgrades to water and sewer pipes on Moira Street West.
A Ministry of Labour spokesperson says the supervisor has been charged with failing, as a supervisor, to take every reasonable precaution for the protection of a worker at a workplace.
A backhoe hit a gas line underground and the flames began with static electricity.
The flames then headed to the home at 198 Moira Street West.
