The legal back and forth regarding a nine turbine wind farm at Prince Edward County’s Ostrander Point is finally over.
Gilead Power Corporation had 30 days as of June 6 to appeal a ruling against their planned development by the province’s Environmental Review Tribunal.
Thirty days have passed and there has been no appeal by the company, and the project is dead.
Cheryl Anderson of the Prince Edward County Field Naturalists said the group is very happy, and that this time David won in a classic David and Goliath battle.
