The province’s Environmental Review Tribunal will continue hearings on the
proposed WPD White Pines Incorporated wind farm to be built in Prince Edward County.
Late last week, the Tribunal issued an order that it wishes to see additional evidence regarding remedies meant to deal with damage to the habitat of the Blanding’s Turtle.
WPD White Pines received approval from the province to build 27 industrial wind turbines on the County’s south shore one year ago, but the decision has been appealed by resident John Hirsch and the Alliance to Protect Prince Edward County.
The Tribunal wants all evidence and remedies in front of it to continue hearings by the end of this month.
