Developers of new housing in Belleville’s east end want to change their plans slightly.
Developers will ask for a rezoning of property on Spruce Gardens, off Haig Road, to allow for townhouses instead of single family lots.
If approved the move would mean 20 townhouses on the property instead of 13 single family homes.

Developers of two lowrise apartment buildings in Belleville’s west end would like to build a little higher.
The developers of two three storey buildings on land behind Stream, and fronting on Avonlough Road are asking the city for a rezoning to allow the buildings to become four storeys in height.
That would increase the number of units from 72 to 102.

Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee will consider re-zoning property in Thurlow ward to allow an expansion of a commercial storage facility.
The owner of the property at 970 Highway 37 plans to add more storage lockers to the four already on the site.
City staff are recommending the re-zonings above be approved.
