Search and Rescue Techs from CFB Trenton’s 424 Squadron went to work in Quebec this morning, just northeast of Montreal.
A CH-146 Griffon Helicopter was called out to search for two canoeists and the crew was able to locate them safely around 8:30 a.m. and guide them to shore.
Further assistance was refused by the canoeists and the chopper returned back to 8 Wing.
The search and rescue crew included Captains Dustin West and Corey Smith, Sergeant Len Neal and Master Corporals Phil Graham and Eric Gelly.
