Five members of the local Victory Barbell Club competed at the Variety Village Open in Toronto.
Earning gold medals were Austin Roy in the Men’s 62 kilo class and Connor Bazilsky in the 56 kilo division. Sarah Condon took bronze in the Women’s 58 kilo division while Will Condon also finished third in the Men’s 85 class.
Weightlifting will be part of the Ontario Summer Games in Mississauga and will include 8 local lifters. They are Ayden Allin, Paul Destun, Trot Davis and Ryan Haire from the Bayside Barbell Club. Addy Walker and Connor Bazilsky of the Victory Club. Carson Orser from the Apollo Barbell Club and Daulton Attwater from the Ada-mantium Gym in Trenton.
