It is been a big week for Belleville native Andrew Shaw.
Traded by the Chicago Blackhawks to Montreal on Friday Shaw inked a 6 year $23.4 million contract by the Canadiens Monday, days before becoming a restricted free agent.
Shaw turns 25 this summer.
He is a two time Stanley Cup champion with Chicago.
The Cap strapped Blackhawks were forced to deal him for a pair of picks.
Shaw scored 14 goals and 34 assists in 78 games last season.
