Staff with Prince Edward County are looking for feedback from residents on how to make the community more friendly for aging citizens.
Both online and hard-copy surveys are being conducted, along with some in-person sessions, to find out what kinds of issues are facing aging residents in PEC and what can be done both in the short and long term to fix those problems.
Special Projects Coordinator Wendy Lane tells Quinte News it’s crucial that residents give their input, rather than have staff just come up with a plan on their own.
And Lane says the series of in-person, coffee-house style discussions will be facilitated by McSweeney and Associates.
You can click this link to fill out the online survey, or find hard-copy versions at the all branches of the PEC Public Library, Community Care offices in Picton and Wellington, as well as Shire Hall.
The in-person sessions will happen Wednesday, July 6 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at North Marysburgh Hall and the same night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Prince Edward Community Centre.
The second two sessions will be on Wednesday, July 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Wellington on the Lake Rec Centre, and then from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Ameliasburgh Town Hall.
