The City of Quinte West is trying to get ahead of this heat wave, by opening cooling stations for members of the public.
The Council Chambers at City Hall will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Fire Station #1, on Front Street in Trenton, will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Municipal staff are also reminding citizens about both the city’s two splash pads, at Centennial Park and in Frankford.
The Trenton splash pad is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., while in Frankford the splash pad is open 10:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m.
