Saturday is the annual Slut Walk, happening at Jane Forrester Park by Meyers Pier.
“Slut Walks” began in Toronto in 2011, after a Toronto police officer blamed the victim of a sexual assault because she had dressed in a provocative manner.
Dozens of participants are expected to participate in the walk, which serves as a reminder that the blame for sexual assaults should rest with the aggressor, not the victim.
It is starting at 1:00 p.m, with activities to follow.
