The thunderstorms were impressive last night (Monday), but they were especially scary for a Stirling area farm couple.
Betty Bailey says she and her husband were busy moving a hay wagon into a barn on their Harold Road farm around 6:30 when it got dark, started raining buckets and the winds picked up speed drastically.
Betty Bailey believes the sudden blast was a passing tornado, but Environment Canada has not confirmed the presence of tornadoes in the area.
There was nothing in the silo, as the Baileys switched from dairy to cash crops a few years ago, and no one was injured.
