Fire officials have still not been able to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed five units of a 57-unit social housing complex in Bancroft more than a month ago.
Bancroft Fire Chief Pat Hoover says the investigation is a difficult one since it involves a number of different units.
Hoover says the fire marshalls investigators have not been back to complete the investigation since they are busy with a number of ongoing investigations across Ontario.
Meanwhile Hastings County staff is working with the province to determine the future of the complex after the May 15 fire, and a recent walk-out by the board of directors.
The county continues to assist the tenants who were displaced by the fire.
