Bail Violation
Belleville, Ontario – On June 19th, 2016, at 10:25 p.m. an officer on patrol on West Moira Street recognized a woman who had been released on bail conditions. One of these conditions included a curfew which the woman was violating. The 32 year old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with two counts of breach of a recognizance. She will appear in court on August 4th, 2016.
Accident
Belleville, Ontario – On June 20th, 2016, at 2:35 a.m. police, fire and EMS attended on Sidney Street at West Moira Street in relation to a single-vehicle rollover. Initial reports indicated that the car had caught on fire. The driver, a 51 year old Trenton man, managed to free himself from the wreckage prior to emergency crews arriving. He refused medical attention at the scene. A light standard was also damaged and public works crews attended at the scene. The driver was charged with ‘failing to drive in a marked lane’ under the Highway Traffic Act.
Disturbance
Belleville, Ontario – On June 20th, 2016, at 3:35 a.m. police attended on John Street in relation to a male causing a disturbance in the street. The male was located on Alexander Street kicking and punching at street signs. The 39 year old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
