It was a chance to thank all those who make a difference for Habitat for Humanity.
Thursday afternoon, Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward Hastings held their appreciation BBQ at the ReStore on Bell Boulevard.
Executive Director Bob Clute says they cannot function without volunteers.
Gary Sopez, a retired local teacher, was named Volunteer of the Year.
The local Habitat group has benefited from an Ontario Trillium Grant, which paid for a volunteer coordinator for two years.
