(TRENTON, ON) – On Thursday June 16th, 2016, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Quinte West Detachment were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check at the intersection of Dundas Street East and Ontario Street in the City of Trenton.
A male driver was arrested at the RIDE check for driving while under suspension. Police investigation also revealed that there was an arrest warrant out for this male for failing to appear in court.
Joshua Hickey, 30, of Trenton has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act for driving while under suspension. He was also held for bail for failing to appear in court on a previous criminal charge. The accused will appear in court today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
