Preparations are well underway for next week’s Quinte International Air Show and officials at CFB Trenton gave members of the media a sneak peak today.
Reporters were toured around in one of 8 Wing’s newest C-17 Globemasters, one of the dozens of aircraft that will be on display June 25th and 26th.
Logistics officer Lieutenant Colonel Cathy Blue says balancing regular operations with airshow planning has been a delicate balance and there’s still lots to be done this week.
Meanwhile, Quinte Broadcasting’s own Nicole Kleinsteuber was the lucky media member selected to jump from the aircraft with the famed Skyhawks jump team, who will also perform next weekend.
Skyhawks jumper Sergeant Jonathan Tremblay tells Quinte News, it will be a-one-of-a-kind performance, jumping at their home base.
Organizers are expecting upwards of 50,000 people to attend next weekend’s show.
