Speed limit changes have caused more than a few headaches for residents, politicians, and staff in the City of Quinte West.
Yesterday (Tuesday), Quinte West’s Public Works Committee recommended council approve a formal policy to guide how requests for speed limit changes will handled in the future.
Councillor Allan Dewitt, in supporting the policy written by Public Works Director, Chris Angelo, said while the new process will take time, it will be better than some “snap decisions” that can be made without a written policy.
If passed by council, the policy will be posted on Quinte West’s website for public viewing.
