It’s expected a Quinte West council decision made last year to remove a legal crosswalk in Trenton will be reversed.
Yesterday, Quinte West’s Public Works Committee voted to re-install the crosswalk at Dundas West and Queen Street near St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
After the decision to remove the signalized crosswalk, a petition containing over 400 signatures protesting the move was presented at city hall. Most of the signatures were from parishioners from St. Peters.
Quinte West council will make the final decision on reinstating the crosswalk soon.
