Two searches that CFB Trenton’s 424 Squadron were involved in recently have ended.
A C-130 Hercules from the base was involved in a search of Lake Ontario south of Toronto overnight Sunday and Monday.
Two men who had gone fishing were discovered drowned.
Meanwhile, 424 squadron personnel have stopped searching for a missing canoeist on Georgian Bay.
His canoe was found submerged near shore, and his belongings were washed up on shore.
The matter has been turned over to the OPP as a “missing persons” case.
