Small landlords in the Quinte region are enthusiastically supporting a review of Ontario’s Residential Tenancies Act.
The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing wants input from landlords in an effort to make the Tenancies Act more fair and encourage small landlords to provide more affordable housing.
The President of the Quinte Landlord Association, Robert Gentile, says changes to the act are long overdue, as most landlords agree the act is slanted in favour of delinquent and destructive tenants.
The Quinte Association is holding a meeting to collect feedback from landlords June 22 at 6:30.
The location has not yet been announced.
