The Belleville Downtown Business Area wants city council to clamp down on skateboarders.
At Monday afternoon’s council meeting, the BDBA will ask council to consider creating a by-law regulating skateboarding in the downtown core.
There have been complaints of vandalism on the new benches in the recently completed Phase 1 of the downtown revitalization project.
There are also safety concerns surrounding skateboarders using some surfaces as ramps downtown.
Belleville council meets Monday at 4 at City Hall.
