A 23 year-old man was tasered and arrested, following a chase with Belleville Police this morning.
It started around 8:30, when officers tried to stop a Honda Civic with unauthorized license plates on Cannifton Road.
The driver fled and police called off the chase in the interest of public safety, before following the suspect safely at a distance.
After he ditched the car on Airport Parkway and Elmwood Drive, officers chased him to Station Street, near Farley Avenue, where the taser was used and he was taken into custody.
During that time, CN Police had to be called and an officer injured his hand in the chase.
The Picton man, whose name wasn’t released, is facing a pile of charges including flight from police, dangerous driving, breaching probation and more.
