A new book just hitting the stores locally tells the story of Ontario’s first municipal government, in Sidney township.
Author Alex McNaught says the book traces the history of Wallbridge, which was the trade centre of the township, and it relates interesting personal stories as well.

McNaught will be speaking about his book, “A Place Called Wallbridge”, at Belleville Public Library, at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
He makes another presentation at Westminster United Church on June 18.
