A Belleville man facing charges in a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a horse-drawn carriage north of Dundalk is out on bail.
Twenty-year-old Alex Silk will return to court June 30th to answer allegations of criminal negligence causing death and three counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm following the April 3rd incident on Highway 10.
Silk was a passenger in the minivan that struck the carriage, which was carrying a five year old girl who died in the crash.
Friends of the victim’s family claim the minivan’s steering wheel was grabbed by a passenger just before the collision occurred — which has not been confirmed by police.
