The Mayor of Quinte West has been busy on the road lately because of the success of the Trenton Golden Hawks.
Mayor Jim Harrison has travelled to major hockey tournaments in Kirkland Lake and Lloydminster, Saskatchewan an an ambassador for the city.
At a Quinte West Corporate Services meeting Wednesday, the Mayor stressed that local taxpayers didn’t foot the entire bill for the trips.
The city paid for the hotel stays, but the rest of the tab was paid by the Mayor out of his own pocket.
