The records show what we already suspected. The month of May was warmer and drier than usual.
With yesterday’s data missing, readings taken at CFB Trenton show the average high last month was 20 degrees. Usually, the average high in May is just over 18 degrees.
Meanwhile, the Quinte region only received about one third of the rain that usually falls in May.
Last month’s total rainfall was 24.2 mm, while the average amount over the years is close to 80 mm for the month.
