Not surprisingly, a volunteer referendum on hospital services held on the weekend shows overwhelming support for a halt to more cutbacks by the provincial government.
The Ontario Hospital Coalition held the referendum at various locations across the province.
Locally, 2,312 votes were cast, with most of those coming from residents of Quinte West.
2,297 people voted to stop cutbacks at hospitals and voted to restore lost services.
Just 15 people voted against a halt to cutbacks.
Province wide results of the referendum will be released tomorrow.
