13 local athletes were among the 1000 that competed at the Special Olympics Provincial Games held at Guelph University.
Donald Winter earned 4 medals in 10 pin bowling. Power lifters Tim Maracle, Kai Freeland, Nicole Ferguson and Cecil Tinney collected 8 medals. Swimmers John Tinney, Luke Flynn and Hannah Freeland won 9 medals. The four members of the 5-pin team earned bronze.
