Threats
Belleville, Ontario – On May 27th, 2016, at 2:23 p.m. police attended on Dunbar Street in relation to a suspicious male in a backyard. Several calls were received as this male was threatening to burn the house down. The male had a canister in his hand upon police arrival. After a brief struggle with police, the male fled on foot. He was arrested by responding officers on Highland Avenue. A check revealed that the canister contained pepper spray. Thirty-year-old Eugene Dobratz was held for a bail hearing on May 30th, 2016 on the following charges:
Threats to damage property
Resist arrest
Escape lawful custody
Possession of a prohibited weapon
Possess a weapon while prohibited from doing so
Breach of probation
No one was injured in this incident.
Arrest on warrant
Belleville, Ontario – On May 27th, 2016, at 5:02 p.m. an officer on patrol recognized a youth on Tracey Street who was wanted on outstanding warrants. The charges included assault and three counts of a breach of a recognizance. The 17 year old youth was arrested without incident and held for bail on May 30th, 2016.
