You may have heard a loud bang in the south west end of Belleville last night, however, nothing to fear.
Around 11:00 p.m. Belleville Fire crews were called to Dundas Street West near Mary Street, near the courthouse, after some CP freight cars accidentally detached from the rest of the train.
The noise caused by the incident sent a thunderous bang throughout the area.
No major issues followed and there were no injuries.
