Chief Superintendent Daniel Redmond, Regional Commander for the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region is pleased to announce that Detective Staff Sergeant Christina Reive has been promoted to the rank of Inspector effective June 1, 2016.
On this date, she will be assuming the Detachment Commander role for Quinte West OPP as Inspector Mike Reynolds is retiring, after a dedicated 35 years of policing.
Inspector Reive, who has been a police officer for over 22 years, commenced her career in 1994 with Trenton Police Service, which later expanded and became Quinte West Police Service. She then became a member of the Ontario Provincial Police at Quinte West detachment, in 2004, when Quinte West Police Service amalgamated with the Ontario Provincial Police.
Inspector Reive brings a wide range of experience to her new position. She has had a varied and diverse career which has included experience as a general patrol officer, Detective Constable, Detective Sergeant and was involved in a variety of homicide and drug projects.
In 2014, she was the Acting Chief of Police for Stirling Police Service and in 2009, was promoted to the rank of Detective Staff Sergeant, where she has served as a Crime Manager for OPP Eastern Region.
