It’s going to be a perfect weekend for swimming at beaches across the Quinte Region, for a couple of reasons.
The first is that high temperatures are forecast throughout the weekend, with a bit of rain here and there.
The second, is that once again none of our local beaches have been posted as unsafe for swimming.
Local health units test water quality weekly, monthly and bi-monthly, depending on the beach, looking for high levels of bacteria.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is also drawing attention to an online beach map, that shows water quality conditions and directions.
