A 37 year-old Belleville woman has been charged with stealing from a local retail store she was working at.
Members of the Belleville Police Criminal Investigations Branch had been looking into the case, after store management became concerned about the actions of a recently fired employee.
The investigation revealed that between June 2014 and May 2016, the woman allegedly took more than $10,000 from her employer.
Today, police arrested Christine Eva Sheahan and charged her with one count each of theft and fraud over $5,000 and money laundering.
She was released on a promise to appear, with a court date on June 30th.
