The saga to find a new Chief Administrative Officer for the Municipality of Brighton has finally ended.
Mayor Mark Walas announced today that Bill Watson will take over the role, as of June 14.
Watson is a member of the Professional Engineers Association of Ontario and has a deep background of municipal experience in the public works and utility sectors.
His experience has seen him take posts in Peterborough, Whitby and most recently Cobourg, before the move to Brighton next month.
The municipality says Watson will be able to provide strategic and operational leadership and also help to manage investments and attract and retain businesses, to help the town move forward.
