An Ontario-wide referendum on saving local hospitals is coming to Quinte West.
Tuesday afternoon at Trenton Memorial Hospital, the Ontario Health Coalition and OurTMH will officially announce plans to join the volunteer-led referendum.
The groups say the cuts taking place at local hospitals are hurting health care and TMH has lost all surgeries and half their acute care beds.
More than 40 other communities have joined the effort.
The event is this afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
