It was a busy long weekend for Quinte West OPP, who responded to almost 150 calls for service between Friday at noon and yesterday at midnight.
Along with those calls, officers put a focused effort on nabbing impaired drivers, which led to the arrests of two men, including a 35 year-old man from Trenton, around 1:30 Saturday morning.
A couple of hours later, officers stopped another car on Dundas Street and found the driver to be impaired.
The man wrestled with officers and tried to run away, but was stopped by a taser and arrested.
29 year-old Josha Howdick of Cobourg is charged with impaired driving and assaulting an officers with intent to resist arrest.
Both men will be in court to answer to their charges on June 2.
