Quinte West OPP officers did their part in contributing to Canada Road Safety Week, last week.
Officers laid almost 230 charges for things like impaired driving, careless driving, speeding and not wearing seatbelts.
The majority of the charges were for speeding, with 91 people being ticketed.
Detachment Commander Inspector Mike Reynolds says in a release, he is pleased with the work of his officers during the campaign.
Canada Road Safety Week is part of a strategy to have our country’s roads declared the safest in the world by 2025.
