On May 5, 2016 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Napanee Crime Unit began an investigation into an incident where a young female had been sexually assaulted in April 2016.
On May 6, 2016 OPP arrested 52 year old Gregory Frederick VAUTRIN of Napanee.
The accused is charged with the following offences:
· 2 counts of Sexual Interference with a person under 16 years of age;
· 1 count of Sexual Assault on a person under 16 years of age;
· 1 count of Luring a Person Under 16 years of age by means of Telecommunication; and
· 1 count of Invitation to Sexual Touching under 16 years of age
The accused was held in custody pending the outcome of a Bail Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Napanee.
Due to a court imposed Publication Ban, the OPP is not in a position to provide any additional information or details with regards to this investigation
