A total of 92 Eastern Ontario manufacturing companies participated in an employee training program administered by the Quinte Economic Development Commission.
Senior governments provided $839,000 for the program which saw 1500 people take training. QEDC executive director says the program, which just wrapped up, meant less expense for municipalities.
King says the training was important to help companies become more productive.
The QEDC has another company training program, provincially funded, which will wrap up in June.
