Worries that a woman was about to jump off of the Norris Whitney Bridge in Belleville caused problems yesterday morning.
People were out of their vehicles trying to help a despondent woman around 8 a.m. which led to a three- vehicle accident.
Belleville police say there were only minor injuries and no charges were laid. A 69-year-old woman, a pedestrian, was taken to hospital for assessment.
In other news from the Belleville Police Service, somebody has added an interesting bit of furniture to their living quarters.
Belleville police report a business on Front Street, south of Victoria Avenue in the downtown core, was broken into overnight Thursday.
A window had been smashed and a child-sized mannequin was stolen.
